Harrison Mew, a convicted sex offender used a bogus name on Craigslist to entice young women into his mansion in Kaneohe, Honolulu where he has been residing for over a year. The Judge also expressed great concern over Mew s past and ordered that no more females, save his wife, live in his residence. Another tenant, La Shelle Entsminger, indicated that Mew tried to assuage their fears by indicating that the house was a safe place to reside. His wife of 8 month, Julia Jahnke, conducted no background checks on Mew and was unaware of Mew s prior crimes until things started to slowly unravel. I found out more and more she recently confessed as she warned the remaining women still occupying the house of Mew s past. Mew, 57, is registered as a sex offender but by not divulging his real identity, his past was hidden. That past included a decade behind bars in the 80s for the "Kahala Panty Burglar." These crimes became increasingly dangerous and evolved into break-ins, stalking and upsetting telephone calls to his female victims . In 1999 Mew was indicted, along with accomplice, for a second-degree sexual assault which occurred in an auto air-conditioning shop, on a 19 year-old intoxicated woman. In 2007, Mew was placed on probation for failing to comply with Hawaii s sex offender registration laws. Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Michelle Puu called Mew an "extremely dangerous sex predator and his wife is hoping for a marriage annulment.
