His argument is that he was not the lone decider and he had issued this ruling after he had reached an agreement with five other justices, and he had also sought the opinion of court’s ethics attorney prior to giving the ruling. Michael Brannan, Yousoufian’s attorney also felt that the Justice had committed no wrong as the money recovered would only go to his lawyers and the Justice had nothing to gain out of this. One has to wait and see how the situation unfolds in the days to come.
