Those who are out to bring down Sarah Palin are finding public records hard to come by. A lot of people know how to get a hard to find marriage record or how to get that elusive criminal record, but getting the emails from Alaska that involve Sarah Payment are a lot more difficult. Some of the bureaucrats say that they are too busy finding public records to explain why some records can’t be found. This is surprising since there is no reported backlog of background checks. Some of the documents are just not being released as quickly as they should.
It’s understandable that the government is pitted against the people in a battle for public records. Although a business called Finding Public Records will give you instant access to virtually any public record known to man, you still can’t get the information you need about high profile government officials. Why do they get to hide when everyone else’s information is out there for the world to see? All the while, Sarah Palin is going around the country without being responsible for what was said in the emails she was involved in. Finding ways to get around the law is a lot easier than to search criminal record looking for a problem in someone’s background. So how are these email records going to come out? Some think it’s going to take a good law firm or maybe a hacker to get the job done.
